NCA Community Meeting Snapshot

Thank you to the residents who were able to attend the NCA discussion forum hosted at the NCA offices on the 7th and 16th May 2019.

In summary:

Hindmarsh have produced an illustration of the building height (download here), which is said to describe the height from the curb surrounding #71 Constitution Ave block.  The blue shows the area within the 25 metre height restriction.

Community consultation with the ex-CSIRO development are in progress.  The building has been demolished and plans, as we understand, are to build two 8 storey residential apartment blocks plus townhouse.

No plans have been made to remove Remembrance Park behind the AWM, however talk about converting it to a car park as still alive.

A development application or Academy Close is expected to be submitted soon.

The development proposal for 71 Constitution Avenue is open to the public for submissions until 12 April.

The time for making a submission on the latest plans for the development of 71 Constitution Avenue closes this Friday, 12 April.  Attached below is a copy of a letter written by a Campbell resident to the NCA objecting to the proposal to build over the 25 metre height limit. You are invited to use this letter as a basis for your own submission, or simply send it in to the NCA with your endorsement if you agree with it. I apologise for prematurely posting the letter yesterday which was drafted before our hardworking Campbell planning boffins had fully got their heads around the latest plans submitted by Hindmarsh.
